Dermocanis shampoo contains borage oil, which is one of the richest natural sources of essential fatty acids (EFA).
EFAs are necessary for maintaining good health of your dog's coat and skin. One particular EFA, Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) plays an important role in keeping the skin in good condition and borage oil contains an extremely high concentration of GLA.
With a lack of GLA your dog's skin can become dry, scaly and itchy.
The ingredients of this shampoo are of the highest quality and have been thoroughly tested and researched. The shampoo does not contain any artificial colouring or flavouring and is usually very well tolerated.
The special formulation of the shampoo provides an excellent cleansing effect, gently removing any harmful substances which may be irritating your dogs skin or coat.
When used properly, the emollient and moisture retaining properties help to rehydrate dry skin, restoring its flexibility and soothing any irritation.
How to use Dermocanis Shampoo:
Before you shampoo your dog, groom the coat throughly to reduce the change of matting. Then soak your dogs coat with tepid water. Keep applying water until it is throughly wet through to the skin.
Shake the bottle well before use and apply sufficient quantities of Dermocanis shampoo depending on coat thickness and size of your dog. Take care to avoid the eyes and nose.
Massage the shampoo into the coat until a slight foam is formed. Leave the shampoo on the coat for three minutes. It is important that you time this period correctly to make sure the active ingredients can do their work.
Afterwards rinse thoroughly, using tepid water, until the foam is completely removed. Remove excess water from your dogs coat by patting it with a dry towel and then groom gently.
Unless your vet has recommended otherwise, it is usually advisable to use the shampoo 2 to 3 times a week intially, and then slowly reduce the number of applications. In dogs with very dry or sensitive skin, regular use of the shampoo, every 1 or 2 weeks, is recommended.
