Alstoe Animal Health has launched Easeflex - a new, unique, dual-action product that contains glucosamine, mucopolysaccharides and high levels of eicosatetraenoic acids (ETAs).
Easeflex is easy to feed, extremely tasty and well tolerated.
The product was developed in response to the positive feedback from vets in respect to nutraceuticals and concerns over the long-term management of ageing dogs.
The use of chondro-protective nutraceuticals such as glucosamine, has become well established, but these useful products have the disadvantage of requiring feeding over a longer period (up to 6 weeks) before effects can be seen.
Recent research has found that introducing high levels of naturally occurring ETAs to the animal's diet can bring benefits much sooner, usually within 2 weeks. ETAs structurally mimic arachidonic acid metabolites and, via the body's normal self-regulatory mechanism, can reduce certain levels of arachidonic acid metabolism.
This is the first product that delivers a possible fast response as well as long-term benefits. Easeflex is produced to human standards and contains no shark- or bovine-derived material.
According to Dr Ian Ryder of Alstoe Ltd "This is an ideal product for older dogs and will help put enjoyment back into exercise. Owners of dogs will find the product easy to feed and the regime simple to follow."
Easeflex dosage:
Two tablets per 10kg bodyweight per day, to be given with or without food, for the initial two weeks (1 morning / 1 evening) reducing to a maintenance level of one tablet per 15kg thereafter.
Also available in larger size (120 tablets). |
