Product details

Eukanuba Growing Puppy Large breed is a tailored dry food developed by nutritionists to meet the individual needs of large breeds puppies.

How it works

This food is made with fresh chicken (20%) to support optimal body condition and healthy growth. As large breeds require more attention on joints, this food contains calcium and phosphorus to ensure healthy bone development. Blended to support the growth of your large-breed puppy into adulthood, this food features high levels of DHA, helping your puppy to learn and be more trainable.
Antioxidants vitamins C and E help strengthen the immune system and prebiotics and beet pulp maintain healthy digestion. Natural sources of Omega 3 and 6 from fish oil support healthy skin and coat.

Key benefits

  • Tailored dry food for puppies of large breeds up to 12 months and giant breeds up to 14 months old
  • High quality proteins provide energy and help muscle development
  • DHA helps your puppy's brain develop
  • With calcium and phosphorous for bone and joint growth
  • Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids help strengthen skin and maintain a glossy coat
  • Antioxidants boost their immune system
  • Prebiotics FOS and beet pulp maintain healthy digestion
  • Special shape kibble helps keep clean teeth

When to use it
Larger breeds  have slightly different needs to smaller dogs as they grow. This is mainly to do with the fact that a larger dog needs much stronger joints, muscles and bones, as they have more weight to carry.

Bounding around the garden will also use up excess energy, which is why high quality proteins are important. These proteins can help to develop your pet's muscles as well, giving them the strength they need to stay active.

This Eukanuba Growing Puppy Large Breed recipe balances the needs of your growing four-legged friend with the unique diet a larger dog needs. Use it as a complete food to replace their regular diet.
You should always consult your vet before changing your pet's diet, or if you have any concerns about your puppy's development.

Always have plenty of fresh water available for your dog to drink. Store in a cool, dry place Feeding The Correct Amount It is important to remember however that these figures are guidelines only, and there are several factors to be taken into account when assessing your pet's nutritional requirements : - Activity level Temperament (stressed animals burn off more calories than relaxed ones) Metabolism (every animal is an individual with his or her own speed of metabolism; this means that 2 dogs of the same age, breed and weight could have different daily calorie requirements) In order to provide the correct portions when feeding your dog or cat, it is also helpful to assess your pet's appetite, visual appearance and stools. Whilst poo watching does not sound particularly pleasant, it is one of the best indicators of health. Increased frequency of passing faeces, production of large quantities of stools of loose motions are often frequent signs that an animal is receiving more food than he or she requires. It is important to obtain an accurate weight for your cat or dog, and also to weigh out the food. Guessing on both accounts gives a large margin of error. Changing Food Brands For a successful diet change, we recommend following the feeding pattern below. The daily feeding amount should be split into two equal amounts and the proportions of new food increased over the first week as illustrated. TOP TIPS: For those dogs who do not make eating a priority, here are some additional points: - Reduce the number of tit-bits given during the introductory period - If your dog has been used to eating wet food, moisten with warm water.
