Hill's Prescription Diet Diabetes/Weight Management m/d Adult Wet Cat Food - Minced Liver
Hill's Prescription Diet Feline m/d is a complete food specially designed to manage your cat’s weight.
How it works
Hill's Prescription Diet Feline m/d is high in protein but low in carbohydrates, which encourages your cat's body to use fat for energy and build muscle.
If your cat is overweight, it can seriously affect its quality of life. They can find it hard to play, jump or simply get about. Hill's Prescription Diet Feline m/d contains L-carnitine, a natural amino acid that helps the body produce energy, meaning your cat can stay active for longer.
This formula is high in antioxidants that are essential for neutralising free radicals and keeping your cat healthy, inside and out. Diet Feline M/D has a wholesome flavour that most cats find appealing, so there will be minimal fuss when switching from their regular food.
- high protein, low carbohydrate formula to help your cat lose weight
- natural amino acid L-carnitine to support energy production
- contains antioxidants to neutralise free radicals, support the immune system and keep your cat healthy
- wholesome flavour appeals to most cats.
When to use it
If your cat is overweight it could affect its body in ways you can’t see. Excess weight makes it harder for them to get about; they play less, run less and miss out on the exercise that is essential for their wellbeing. Being overweight can also put pressure on their joints, internal organs and can compromise their immune system.
Your vet will be able to examine your cat and advise on their ideal weight. Hill's Prescription Diet Feline m/d can replace your cat’s regular food to help it lose weight. Check the feeding guidelines for the right amount to feed your cat. Exercise should be encouraged while your cat is losing weight. If they don’t have access to an outside space, try keeping them stimulated with toys.
Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. For more information on feeding Hill’s Prescription Diet Feline M/D to your cat, please consult your veterinary surgeon.

Good for diabetic cats.I bought this food on the recommendation of my vet, and my 13year old diabetic cat has been on this, and the m/d dry food, for over 2 years. fortunately she likes the food, and it keeps her diabetes under control. It doesn't stop her trying to steal some of her brother's food when she gets the chance, though !
Took some getting used to but OK nowMy Diabetic cat has thrived on this and my Vet says she may not need to continue having insulin injections.
Cat loves it!Bought this on recommendation from our vet as our cat was showing potential early sings of diabetes. Time will tell if this helps make a difference...
Weight lossToo early to tell if works but the cat loves the food, which has always been half the battle (it's either good for her so she hates it, or it's bad for her so she loves it)
