Kokoba Litter Box
The Kokoba cat litter box is a great starting point for encouraging anxious cats and young kittens to do their business in an enclosed space.
How it works
It's really difficult for cats to kick kitty litter out of enclosed boxes, which is why they're a great option for keeping your home nice and tidy. Some cats get a bit anxious using this type of toilet, especially young kittens, so this box is a great starter option. The roof can be left open, making the change from tray to box a bit easier. The swing opening also makes it easier for you to get inside and clean it. The box is made from durable, high-quality plastic, meaning it's long-lasting. Not only is it easy to clean, it comes with its own scoop so it's even easier to pick up any mess.
- made from durable plastic
- gives your cat extra privacy to use the loo
- cuts the amount of kitty litter kicked onto floor
- comes with a scoop
- integrated lid is easy to clean and can be left open for nervous cats
- has space for an odour-absorbing activated-carbon filter
- made to help small kittens and anxious cats transition from a tray to a box.
When to use it
If your pet hasn't used an enclosed litter tray before, this is a good one to start them with. It's perfect if you also have a dog (especially if you're trying to stop them investigating what kitty leaves behind). If your home doesn't have many quiet nooks and crannies, a box is a great way to give your cat the peace and privacy they need to do their business. Placement is still really important. Choose a peaceful space away from noise and bustle, and away from their food and water bowls. Cats are really clean, and the thought of doing the loo near their food source can put them off. It might even encourage them to go elsewhere in your home.
