Product details

Royal Canin Mother & Babycat is a highly nutritious dry food that's specially designed to support nursing cats and their kittens.

How it works

This complete food keep mothers and their kittens in optimum health from their early days right up until 12 weeks old. Thanks to its high vitamin A and D3 content, it supports a healthy immune system and your kittens' natural defences. Added probiotics keep the digestive system working properly, while fatty acids boost brain development, helping your kittens to grow big and strong.

The specially designed kibble is suitable for tiny jaws and is easily rehydrated for a smooth transition to solid foods. It's packed with highly digestible proteins too, so it's gentle on sensitive stomachs. The amount of food your kittens need depends on their age and weight. Always read the instructions on the packaging for recommended portion size.

Key benefits

  • made with vitamins A and D3
  • added prebiotics for good digestive health
  • a special blend suitable for mother and kittens
  • easy-wean formula
  • antioxidants to boost immune system health
  • added DHA to encourage brain development

When to use it

Support your mother cat as she nurses and raises her kittens with a nutrient-rich food like Mother & Babycat. Antioxidants and prebiotics are passed on from mother to kitten during nursing to encourage the development of healthy immune and digestive systems.

Nursing can be demanding for mother cats, so this complete feed helps keep her healthy and energy levels high. It's also suited to the weaning process, when your kittens are ready to start eating solid foods.

If your cat has just had a litter or is expecting kittens, speak to your vet about their diet before making any changes.

  • Cross breed kittens love it
I have kittens that have left their mother at 9 weeks, now 12 weeks and they love this food. Contrary to the packaging I think it suits their small jaws and teeth better than food for older kittens. They love it and gobble it down. I have just increased the size of their portions to suit their stomachs and more importantly, their eyes, where food requirements go.

  • I am using this for my 15mth old Siamese who has had an upset tummy for 5 weeks now and has lost a lot of weight, I recently got a Havana kitten and he was sent away with this kitten food and Charley the Siamese loves it, and it's the only food wet or dry he is interested in, so feeding him that now to try and get him to gain weight, vet says it's ok to feed till he's back on his feet, and he's enjoying it as it's small and easy for him to eat

  • I've got 2 Birmans and a Main Coon. Decided to try baby cat because one of the birmans is an adult but has a tiny jaw and is underweight because of difficulty eating adult sized kibble. This food is the right size and the other cats like it too.
