Product details

The Kokoba adjustable double diner with bowls lets your dog eat and drink without stretching their neck uncomfortably.

How it works

Keeping your pet's food and water bowls raised off the floor can be more comfortable for them, especially for elderly dogs or animals suffering from arthritis. Because their head is above their stomach, this has some digestive benefits as gravity helps food flow through their digestive tract. The added height can also take some of the strain off their leg joints and neck, letting them keep an easy posture.

To set up the bowls, measure your pooch from their front paws to their shoulders. The bowl should sit 15 centimetres lower than this, level with their lower chest. With one bowl for food and another for water, this completely height-adjustable double diner is an easy feeding solution.

Key benefits

  • comes in three sizes - 1.8 litres, 2.8 litres and 4 litres.
  • produced with stainless steel (and can go in the dishwasher)
  • reduces joint-strain during dinner time
  • can reduce discomfort for senior, arthritic and large-breed dogs.
  • makes it less likely that floppy ears will fall into bowl
  • adjustable height can reduce your dog's eating speed, making them less likely to get hiccups.

When to use it

While all dogs can benefit from a raised bowl, it can really improve dinnertime for dogs with floppy ears (such as beagles, Irish setters and dachshunds). These big ears can often end up in their dinner when they bend down. The standing position is easy on the joints, which is better for animals suffering from arthritis. Some breeds, such as St Bernards, golden retrievers and rottweilers, are especially prone to this illness. They (and elderly or large animals) may find bending over to eat from the floor a little harder than other pets would, so a raised bowl is a great way to keep them fed and watered without causing them discomfort.
